Credit Cards are the root of all our problems.

with 2 comments

I have come to a point in my life where the level of debt has reached unimaginable heights! This has led me to believe that we, as Americans, live far beyond our means. I don’t live a lavish lifestyle by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve calculated that if I pay just slightly over the minimum balance that I’ll be debt “free” in about, oh…say…2 years! That’s 2 years of NOT even touching or even looking at the card! That’s insane! Obviously the goal is to pay it off as soon as possible, but at the same time I need to resupply my savings. It’s a tricky battle of “what should I put this money towards?” Do I put it towards paying debt off faster? Do I put it towards paying my rent? Do I put it towards my savings?

It sure as hell as obvious that it should go towards whatever issue is the most important like RENT and FOOD. It doesn’t take an astrophysicist to figure that one out, but over a longer period of time other things need to be taken care of as well…

As soon as I am debt “free”, I am cutting up ALL my cards but 2 cards. Emergency cards for just in case I don’t have cash on me. Have one VISA/Mastercard and one American Express. There is no way in hell I am going to raise a family with THIS kind and amount of debt hanging over my head and neck like an albatross to an ancient mariner.

I am serious when I say this, “GET RID OF YOUR CREDIT CARDS!” These companies are sucking you dry and destroying people’s lives.

Of course there is THEIR side of the story that they are not responsible for what people purchase, which is true to a certain extent. They are like drug dealers that prey upon the weak willed. Especially, college student who have no clue as to what DEBT really means or how long it will take to pay it off. Young people believe they have all the time in the world to pay anything back. I know this because I was once young and foolhardy. Well…I’m still SORT OF young still, but less foolhardy. SOMETHING happens when you turn 30. You don’t feel it right away, but SOMETHING happens to your perspective on just about everything. And if it doesn’t then something is wrong with your priorities…(sorry for preaching there…lol)

For me, it was when I looked at younger people. I realized that I am neither a teenager, a college student, nor a retiree. I was now a grown man. I am a professional. I am now what young people tend to call older people. I’m now a SIR!Excuse me…Sir.”, or “How can I help you Sir?”. That’s when you know you have finally crossed the line of youth and adult. I looked around at people that LOOK like me…(early thirties, a few gray hairs, balding, a sense of calm) and see them with children in strollers and stuff. If you don’t get your credit in order raising children is near impossible. Seriously, how do single moms or dads do it? How in the world does anyone raise a kid with a limited income?

Answer is: YOU FIND A WAY! (Legally, of course…) You make it happen.

I’m glad to know and be aware of my thoughts and consciousness at just about every moment of my life. I am glad that this awareness instills in me a better sense of frugalness. I just wish I was a bit more frugal a few years ago.

Then again, a few years ago, we were all doing much better and spending a hell of a lot more money.

When will we ever be stable in terms of our growth and resource spending?

Answer is: Never. We’re Americans for G-d’s sake! We don’t know how to be anything but what we are.

How do you define consciousness?

leave a comment »

What does it mean exactly, to be conscious? Understandably, the fact that I am able to think and type out my thoughts right now is a form of consciousness, but it is impossible to imagine another person’s consciousness. I’m looking deeper.

The “definition” of consciousness could be considered the amount of time between your waking life and sleeping life.

Is consciousness just a quantum state from a higher dimension transcended into our 3rd and 4th dimensional self?

If that is the case then what would consciousness be like in a higher dimension? Certainly much different as currently we can only speculate.

If our perception of everything is based in the 3rd Dimension within a 4th Dimensional construct, then to have a reality based in the 4th Dimension within a 5th Dimensional construct might look like this…

The reality for a 4th or 5th Dimensional conscious being might be memory and/or choice based, similar to, The Matrix movies.

Their reality could be altered by thought and bias, which is a slippery slope. How do you govern beings that can change anything and time with a thought, that can travel through time and space with thought. (that is more of an ethical question…)

How will our inner conscious self flow into the next dimension?

What will it be like to perceive in 4 Dimensions or 5, 6, 7, etc…?

Trying to perceive a higher dimension is like trying to imagine a really beautiful woman naked. You have a preconceived concept of what a woman looks naked based upon memory and interpretation of that memory, but you cannot know her body to the exact fine detail.

In my opinion the 4th Dimension is similar to the process of a computer retrieving data from a microchip, only add emotion, physicality, spirituality and humanity.

Here is a great thought…

If we were to live in the 4th or higher dimensions…do we lose individuality? Do we cease to be human? Do we become a collective?

Things to think about…

Is there a direct correlation between gravitational lensing, absolute zero Kelvin, atoms in a quantized condensate and time travel?

leave a comment »

Sounds like a mouthful doesn’t it? That’s because it is.

I’ve come to a bizarre, yet intriguingly possible theory of how gravitational lensing (dark matter’s gravitional pull over large swaths of empty space bends light and alters time / space in the process.), the theoretical absolute zero Kelvin, particles of atoms in a highly quantized state can be the contributing factors towards real time and space travel.

The predominant bias we all think of when we hear time / space travel are spaceships traveling across the universe beyond the speed of light or using a wormhole in the fabric of space to reach a far off planet or star system. No?

These concepts are part truth and mostly science fiction. One truth is that time is relative, but it depends on where you are standing…meaning…if we look at distant, distant stars we are seeing the light that they emitted millions if not billions of years ago. Now if we look at that same light but let’s say there were a bunch of solar systems standing between that one bright star and us. The light would take longer to get to us because of the gravitational pull of dark matter in the universe. So for the same amount of light to reach us one would longer to get to us, thus warping time and slowing it down. The opposite could occur as well, in theory. If there are let say to seperate gravations swirling about and in between the mighty gravities there could be a channel of space where a highly concentrated corridor of light gets shoved out faster and faster than normal speed…thus speeding up time.

So where does absolute zero + quantized particles in a condensate form come into play with time travel? Great question.

To achieve a quantized state to any particle, the state of that matter must slow down to a point where there is no energy lost, nor gained…absolute zero. To do this, the temperature gets so cold that even highly active atoms slow down and begin to act strange. [think the matrix when the film goes sideways and Keanu Reeves is dogging a bullet.] (some particles achieve a quantized state at slightly warmer temperatures than others, but who’s counting…this is all theory anyway.)

The theory was put forth by Satyendra Nath Bose (1894-1974) + Albert Einstein (1879-1955) in 1924-1925. Wikipedia: Bose/Einstein Condensate

Another way of thinking of this is, imagine how an old film reel flows while a movie is playing. Now imagine that film slowed down to a complete stand still and the film reel begins to move sideways.

That is SORT of what happens to quantized atoms and it’s particles on a subatomic level. So much so that when light enters quantized atoms and particles it slows down to just about the speed of a moving bicycle. From the fastest form of energy to something relative to a human scale is beyond extraordinary…it’s bizarro.

At this level atoms and sub-atomic particles act peculiar to say the least. Instead of the atom acting like 1 individual atom, it has an identity crisis of some sorts and literally changes shape and acts like a wavelength. Are you bizarro’d out yet? Good. So was I. The atom no longer sees itself as just 1 atom, but every particle and sub-atomic particle begin acting like the entire atom itself.

Maybe I am not describing it correctly, as my knowledge is FAR inferior to professional quantum physicists, but it’s so bizarre that you will shake your head a whole bunch of times. lol

Now taking the complete fundamentals of gravitational lensing, which I hypothesize is actually caused by quantized microscopic particles close to absolute zero temperature, across the emptiness and void of space quantized atoms and sub-atomic particles, and the theoretical absolute zero Kelvin model…mix them altogether you have what I call “The Opportune Moment”.

If the moment were right and if there were a way to control the potential of these quantized atoms and sub-atomic particles to react with light, we could slow down time or speed it up depending on the quantized atoms.

I know it sounds crazy and it is, but if gravitational lensing can either speed up or slow down light, then time travel can be possible.

The next logical question would be HOW. How can anything survive time travel in this sense after being quantized to absolute zero? Then there is the question of where will you wind up at? How will you get back? How would you go from absolute zero to normal and not destroy the integrity of matter itself?

Hey it’s a theory right?

I don’t have a Bachelors, Masters or even a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Cosmology (yet), but I sure as hell think a whole lot about this stuff as if I do.

I’m going to do some research on this, but I wouldn’t doubt that something in my theory has to be right.

Who knows, maybe all we need to travel in time is freeze something to or as close to absolute zero as possible and then program the quantized atoms, using a quantized computer that communicates with the atoms using logic and probability.

One thing is for sure…

When we die, we’ll either all figure it out or nothing.

It is highly probable that anything is possible.

What do you think? Am I full of shit? Or do you think I am on to something?

Now I understand what can make a good person become bad.

with 2 comments

It finally came to me yesterday evening, right before I went to sleep. This might seem a bit obvious or basic, but sometimes you’ll see something subconsciously and not know in your waking life. You know…a bad person is not born bad. He/She are cultivated and then harvested like crops from a field. Hitler wasn’t born a monster. He became a monster based upon his upbringing and the environment he found himself in. Not saying that all bad people progress to the level of “badness” as Hitler did, but he serves as a hyperbolic symbol of my point.

We are all products of our environment and vice versa, our environment is a product of us.

I came to the realization that a bad person is bad because either another bad person had negatively influenced him/her, thus potentially destroying their ability to be or see good altogether. Or it’s quite possible that a good person did or said something bad to them by accident or were completely unaware of the damage (on different possible levels) they were inflicting upon them. Example: Lex Luther, the comic arch-nemesis of Superman was not always a bad, bald guy, that plots to destroy society and Superman. Luther used to be very good person with noble dreams of healing people as a doctor until a terrible accident happened and Luther was hurt and disfigured, to which he will eternally blame Superman for.

What does Lex Luther and this post have in common. Good question…

This is my point…

A good person can become bad for a myriad of subtle and not so subtle reasons. Not all bad people are truly bad…just as not all good people are truly good. When a good person is pushed and pushed (physically, spiritually, emotionally or psychologically) further away from being good, it is inevitable that this good person is doomed to become bad. The hope of ever becoming or at least seeing the good in anything becomes more and more remote with each episode of pushing.

I now understand why a good person could become bad.

Is it right for a good person to do bad things on purpose? Of course not. Do the actions justify the means? No, but there is a purpose and a goal to why a normally good person would do a bad thing on purpose and become bad. Can it be understood and rationalized? Yes, although the perspective that the good-turned-bad person is coming from is their own and thus skewed from society’s’ vantage point. If no one understands or listens to a good person’s perspective it’s quite possible that they will either become apathetically introverted or worse, methodically bad. Stories, motives and actions always change, but history shows us that humans are not infallible or immune to becoming bad.

Now I know how a good person can go bad.

I see that the overall principles of the self do not change in a bad person, they grow stronger. The hurt and emboldened self become one entity that rationalizes every negative action with a positive one. The negative impulses that would normally be held back or hidden become the normal and unhidden.

Fascinating…to understand the mindset of a good person gone bad.

Writings: The Curious Case of Consciousness and Cosmology

leave a comment »

What curious things consciousness and the cosmos are.

Both are amazing and mind-bogglingly impossible to fathom. The depths of consciousness are potentially as vast as the cosmos itself. It’s difficult to explain how it feels to be a conscious being to another conscious being, in that, no matter how you attempt to define a memory or a current heightened state of omnipresent-like self awareness, no one can really know what is really going on. Just as with the cosmos, we know certain details that lead to other concepts, etc., but we do not understand the very nature of the universe. What is it? Why does it exist? How is it that humans at this stage of the universe’s age have evolved just at the right time, on the right planet, to the right sized star, in right proportioned solar system, located at a “safer” part of our galaxy and so on and so forth?

It is difficult to explain and imagine. I am curious. I have been since as long as I can remember.

If one day we are able to explain the phenomena of consciousness, will this lend insight to the meaning of the cosmos? Or vice versa? Could this new found knowledge and actualization of a collective actualization create a larger distortion of our reality. Could a complete understanding of consciousness awaken the existential layer found within all of us? I have so many thoughts and questions that many other people have a least thought of at some point in their lives. We all ask ourselves the single biggest existential question of “Why are we here?” My difference in question is not asking WHY we are here, but more over, why are we conscious just enough to realize to ask the question why are we here. Why does the cosmos’ infinite nature resemble human consciousness at its greatest potential? There has to be a connection of some kind. Maybe I am reaching a bit, but what if none of this is “REAL”. I know if Rene Decartes were alive and here right now, he would have a fit with me.

It’s always good to question every aspect of existence…even existence itself.

Only one way to find out about existence altogether and that is to go through with it.

Until we all get to “the other side”, we will never know. For now at least.

The cosmos and consciousness will be better connected and understood once we all cross over. (That is of course…if there is anything after death other than total stillness.)

Are you curiously conscious? Cosmologically challenged? Let’s let MetaPhysical…

Michael Jackson & The Universe

leave a comment »

What in the world could Michael Jackson’s untimely and sad death have anything to do with The Universe?

Great question.

No, I am not going to demean the late Mr. Jackson in anyway by crudely referencing his bizarre behavior when alive as something from out of this World. (To those people I would say his actions were a reflection and a direct result of a lack of his own childhood, thus making actually quite human, but troubled.)

What I will say is this…

MJ and The Universe have one thing in common, which is that they both will go on forever. Just like the Universe is ever expanding and contracting. So will the Legend of MJ. (Of course there is the constant speculation as to the real purpose, timeline, future, dimensions of The Universe, but I’m going on current scientific data. Work with me here people…)

Even when celestial stars (no pun intended) go from hot to supernova to white dwarf or black hole (depending on the mass, density, etc.), the matter left behind begins new chapters for other new solar systems to breed new stars, planets, meteorites, moons, and more. So in a sense, MJ’s music will live forever in the hearts of his fans and future fans. His music will stand the test of time. Hundreds, Thousands, Millions of years from now one of the few voices and talents that mankind will be remember will be Michael Jackson. A truly gifted talent to mankind.

There will only be 1 MJ. A real diamond in the rough. Just like Earth is The Universe’s diamond in the rough.

As long as there are people around, MJ’s voice and songs will flood The Universe forever. (even if there are no people around…the sheer volume of radio waves currently streaming out from Earth to the rest of The Universe will travel for a very, very, very long time.)

So this is my random thought of the day. Hope you find some solace in it.

Take care Michael. You will be deeply missed, but NEVER forgotten.

A good friend of mine is a DJ and made this mix of MJ’s music.

Please download it and remember MJ from back in the day.
